• Here you will find the chronicles of our family of four. More pictures than words, I am most at home capturing our life with a still camera. Photos help me recognize the beauty and awesomeness in both the phenomenal people I live life alongside and this breathtaking place we live, planet earth.

I am a child of God. I am the wife to a wonderful man, mother to two amazing little people. I am both daughter and sister. I am a runner. I love to travel and read.

I often title this season of our life's adventure, The Continuing Adventures of Mallory Girl and Mark Boy. The photography is mine (unless otherwise noted.) Questions are always welcome. Thanks for reading and adventuring alongside us.

Family dinner.

Mankin_cousins_1
When Deloris was here, we invited all the Mankin and Burch family in town for dinner. It was great to see everyone and wonderful to meet Heidi. One of these days I will learn to use my flash so everyone is in focus!!

the orphanage.

It’s hard to believe a whole week had passed since I updated this blog. I am doing better with the photo a day thing. It’s easier to post a picture (worth 1000 words) and a short caption-or not and keep going. But I am determined to keep up with the journaling aspect of the blog thing too. So without further commentary, Sunday afternoons are historically for naps and looking towards next week. But the past several Sundays include way more than just a nap. Today will be the day that I organize the closet in my studio and begin to work on the "orphanage" (that is what I have been calling the extra bedroom that has been my catch all for items without a home in the new house.) I must finish in a timely manner as "the orphanage" will have a temporary occupant next weekend. I am looking forward to having the upstairs whipped into shape–it’s beginning to wear on my "neat and tidy" soul.

I still want to come see your new house! I’m going to Franklin tomorrow but with a group. I’ll try and let you know when I’m headed that way alone. I may invite myself over. LOL!
