• Here you will find the chronicles of our family of four. More pictures than words, I am most at home capturing our life with a still camera. Photos help me recognize the beauty and awesomeness in both the phenomenal people I live life alongside and this breathtaking place we live, planet earth.

I am a child of God. I am the wife to a wonderful man, mother to two amazing little people. I am both daughter and sister. I am a runner. I love to travel and read.

I often title this season of our life's adventure, The Continuing Adventures of Mallory Girl and Mark Boy. The photography is mine (unless otherwise noted.) Questions are always welcome. Thanks for reading and adventuring alongside us.

the saga continues.

Hip Hip Hooray!!!! We have power–in the form of electricity 🙂 With a little luck, and some work by Beazer employees, we should have a completed house this afternoon. I am so thrilled the power is on, cool, air-conditioned comfort awaiting our arrival.

Next hurdle, the money people. Last minute & unexpected demands–who knew! Still praying that we get to close Friday–it could happen if the Lord wills it.

I really hope that things work out for your closing. I know how things can change when closing on a house…been there done that…
By the way…the Pottery Barn pics and inspiration pieces are great!
Good Luck with decorating.

you are SOOOO close! i’m envious. we are about 1 month behind 🙁

3-5 days.

The house saga continues. Currently we are not sure if the underwriter has all the info needed to clear us for closing. Closing is scheduled for Friday but I am not convinced this is even possible. The electric company, Middle Tennessee Electric Co. Monday, said we would have power in 3-5 days. As of this morning, we are not on the work schedule for today. The yard is in and the Beazer folks are "grading" the house today. We are scheduled to walk through the house tomorrow afternoon. Here’s hoping and praying that we have power by closing and that closing happens Friday!

bookcase.

Bookcase_3I just can’t get enough of these bookcases. I adore the "A" displayed in this one, but even without the  letter, it is SUPER cool.

I would love to put this in the gameroom too. It would go great with the media furniture.

I am seeing a BLACK theme.

I guess against khaki or red walls it will be warm and cozy. At least that’s what I am telling myself. I wonder if I should have chosen black bookcases from Cost Plus World Market-my other current favorite store.
