• Here you will find the chronicles of our family of four. More pictures than words, I am most at home capturing our life with a still camera. Photos help me recognize the beauty and awesomeness in both the phenomenal people I live life alongside and this breathtaking place we live, planet earth.

I am a child of God. I am the wife to a wonderful man, mother to two amazing little people. I am both daughter and sister. I am a runner. I love to travel and read.

I often title this season of our life's adventure, The Continuing Adventures of Mallory Girl and Mark Boy. The photography is mine (unless otherwise noted.) Questions are always welcome. Thanks for reading and adventuring alongside us.

gameroom.

Gameroom_003
Dreaming about putting together the gameroom. We have two cool bookcases and just need a chest or trunk for the plasma to sit on. I am thinking about hanging the plasma on the wall and would then be able to use a chest that opened up rather than find one with drawers.

Gas $$$$$$

Kia_3

I remember gas prices being $1 a gallon. Not ancient history, when I was in high school. After school I filled up the KIA for $2.59/gallon. By the time I drove home, the gas station on the corner was selling gas for $2.99/gallon. This morning, $3.39. This is crazy & insane. It makes me want to never leave my house in a car again. Just madness.

Okay…I promise I this will be my last comment (maybe)! Aren’t the gas prices outrageous? DH & I are stuck car-pooling to save money right now.

the first.

Wow–is it really September? The first of September? It’s hard to believe that summer is almost over. I confess I am looking forward to the cooling of temperatures and the leaves changing, wearing 3/4 length sleeves again and denim jackets. I found a really cute pink corduroy blazer at the Gap outlet–gotta love half price ๐Ÿ™‚ Soup for lunch and fall pictures. Fall also means eating healthier-losing the summer weight I seem to put on every year. Ice cream is challenging to resist. So many things are different this September. Hurricane Katrina has devastated New Orleans, the pictures are unbelievable-like something Hollywood would create for some blockbuster movie. I am so sad for the people who have lost their homes. Family and friends–it seems everyone knows someone who has been touched. Aunt Patty’s mother Gigi & her brother and his wife, all evacuated to Lafayette. It’s just unbelievable. On a happier note–we are loving being in Spring Hill and in our own home. I knew we would have projects to work on together but even I am amazed at all there is we can do. My lists are never ending. But that’s OK. Thinking about the future, a trip to Europe in November and settling in to life in the burbs. Lots of firsts for our family of two.

Tagged.

Rachel  tagged me. So—-5 random things.

1. I am just beginning to get over my obsession with dry bathmats. Yes, I know they are for feet that come out of the shower/tub but I HATE walking on a damp surface.

2. I learned to spell phonetically (fan-et-ically) and thus forever cannot spell.

3. I adore the combination of Diet and Regular Dr.Pepper. Twice the beverage for the same # of calories.

4. I read cookbooks for fun. Don’t cook all that much (twice a week maybe) but love to read them anyway.

5. I heart Capri’s. Almost NEVER wear shorts anymore.

So you see–I am so interesting ๐Ÿ™‚

Tag Tracie –you are it ๐Ÿ™‚

1. I am just beginning to get over my obession with Chuck Woolery. Ok, Im not totally over it, but I have learned to stay at least 50 feet away. (3 months in prison helped me learn this)
2. I learned to spell from watching the TV shows Scrabble and Lingo. This may help explain question 1.
3.I adore the combination of NyQuil and Redbull. It helps keeps my chest hair sliky and shiny.
4. I read the phone book for fun. I don’t use the phone much, but it I love surnames. I skip the Jone’s they’re always boring.
5. I heart v-neck shirts. Almost NEVER wear crew necks anymore, they don’t showcase my chest hair.
Im not that interesting.
