• Here you will find the chronicles of our family of four. More pictures than words, I am most at home capturing our life with a still camera. Photos help me recognize the beauty and awesomeness in both the phenomenal people I live life alongside and this breathtaking place we live, planet earth.

I am a child of God. I am the wife to a wonderful man, mother to two amazing little people. I am both daughter and sister. I am a runner. I love to travel and read.

I often title this season of our life's adventure, The Continuing Adventures of Mallory Girl and Mark Boy. The photography is mine (unless otherwise noted.) Questions are always welcome. Thanks for reading and adventuring alongside us.

Photo a Day.

Most days I pretend to march to my own drum. On really good days, Jesus is my personal drummer, on not so good days, I bang away incoherently and incompetently on my own. Today I am marching to my beat and following a crowd. This time the crowd = the latest Garden Girl challenge: take a photo every day. Recording life’s everyday moments for me. So I can look back and remember. Remember the celebrations and challenges, triumphs and tragedies. For today, I offer up two photos.

Officially photographed on 8/9/05
Yesterday Ben and I took our first walk around our new neighborhood, hand in hand just a short walk. A wandering around kind of walk. It was good. We looked at fences and dreamed of tall trees in our yard. Best of all we spent a few quiet minutes just being together.

God is so good. Out of His bounty came a sweet new friend this last year in BSF. Her little one was born Sunday morning July 30, 2005 weighing 7 pounds even. He was 21 1/2 inches long and is absolutely adorable. Lord, may he be healthy and love You all the days of his life.

I love the idea of a photo a day….don’t know if I could keep up with it though! Love the house photo!!

Your house is wonderful and beautiful! Great pics….does it feel like home yet?

Stephanie A. Brysacz, LMT (that's right - now it's OFFICIAL) - August 12, 2005 - 11:00 pm

Congrats on moving in! Did Ben carry you over the threshold?
BTW – Looks like ya’ll had a whirlwind UN-packing party. Good that you have so many friends and family to help.
Hope you feel settled in soon.
Bigass Cap City love from Brysacz!

Resting & Boxes.

Collage

Today’s progress includes resting and emptying boxes in the studio/office. I haven’t settled on a name for this room. I like studio, but it seems presumptuous, and besides, shouldn’t every home have an office"y" area? At any rate, more boxes unloaded and banished to the cardboard mountain in the garage.

Hey, congrats on finally moving in to your new house!

Julie - August 8, 2005 - 9:06 pm

Can’t believe how much I have missed. Ethan and I got back from “holiday” yesterday and look how much you have done! I imagine you are alot like me, I think I was unpacked in less than a week. I am so glad that you are in and getting everything settled. We are looking forward to meeting your new home in October, but thanks for the pics now!
Tell Ben I was out last week, call me again if he needs me.

Week 1.

Week001

What a difference a week makes. That’s right, just seven days.

Last Friday at 5pm Ben & I signed about 15 minutes worth of documents and got keys to our first house. Not our first home but, first single family dwelling. We are thrilled to get to live here. With LOTS of help from friends and family the move was completed in 48 hours. Big "thank you"s to my sister and mother, Daniel, Jeff, Nick, Philip, and Fran for providing the back breaking work of hauling boxes and HEAVY "widow-maker" entertainment centers. Thank you to Daddy for letting your girls stay extra long and play. Mother and Jennifer spent hours holding my hand and helping me make decisions. Creating beautiful flower arrangements and both packing and unpacking boxes. We seriously could not have accomplished all this in just one week without you!
