Inspired by Mother’s beautiful centerpiece from last year’s Christmas Dinner.
I ADORE having the opportunity to worship and participate and experience the body of Christ–His Church. So often, we the body are a hindrance to the "furthering" of the cause of Christ. But as I sit here in the control room at Crossroads Christian Church in Lexington, surrounded by believers that are committed to following their hearts, walking the walk not just sitting back watching passively as life passes them by, it feels good. In fact it feels GREAT. The people, the hearts, the music, the experience, the participation even in a "I’m just here to watch and encourage" way. It seems right. It feels like a small hint-a taste of what, just maybe, the church was intended to be. Loving people, supporting each other, walking together on this road of uncertainty. One step at a time, no map that I can hold, no itinerary, no schedule or list of "to do" that I have anything to do with-or control. It’s just good to be–be with God’s people, to watch, and feel and be.
"The most wonderful time of the year"
I am having the best time listening to Sirius Holiday music at the house. It is wonderful to have Christmas music playing all the time!
This weekend we will be spending time with friends and worshiping together and encouraging the kingdom thru Ben’s work opportunities. It is such a wonderful blessing that he has the opportunity to do what he loves. Use his amazing gifts and share his passion with others. Thank you Lord-my cup overflows.
