• Here you will find the chronicles of our family of four. More pictures than words, I am most at home capturing our life with a still camera. Photos help me recognize the beauty and awesomeness in both the phenomenal people I live life alongside and this breathtaking place we live, planet earth.

I am a child of God. I am the wife to a wonderful man, mother to two amazing little people. I am both daughter and sister. I am a runner. I love to travel and read.

I often title this season of our life's adventure, The Continuing Adventures of Mallory Girl and Mark Boy. The photography is mine (unless otherwise noted.) Questions are always welcome. Thanks for reading and adventuring alongside us.

worship + elephants

Taken before leaving for church this morning. We invited Mallory to go outside with us and take a few pictures and asked her to leave the pacifier inside. She could have it back as soon as we finished the pictures. She was happy to do whatever to go outside with us.

Worship was wonderful. We took Mallory into the sanctuary for the first part of the service. It literally takes my breath and fills my eyes with tears to see our little girl raise her hands and worship. It's so sweet, knowing she is imitating others for how else do we learn but by example. I pray we are the best example to Mallory we can be. I know it will only possible by God's grace. God grant us the grace and wisdom and mindfulness to be your example in this life.

After a delicious lunch of roast, potatoes and carrots (Ben has wanted me to make this meal for ten years) we all took wonderful naps and then headed out to the zoo. We got to hang out with my sister, enjoy the elephants and enjoy the shade on a beautiful sunny afternoon.

Mallory LOVES elephants. Loves the noises they make. Her favorite movie….you guessed it, Dumbo.

Web IMG_2693nc1 totally great to see cool creatures!

Happy Father's Day to the father of my child. You do a wonderful job with her.
Happy Father's Day to my Daddy. I can't imagine a better Daddy.
Happy Father's Day to our Lord and Savior. I can't imagine life without you.

It's no secret how much this girl loves her carosel(s). When we told her there was one at the zoo she lit up like Christmas.

She has such a sweet, precious face! I love the one where she’s going to kiss her daddy. So very adorable.

That second photo is precious, with her happiness written all over her little face. =) And the one with her kissing daddy’s cheek is so sweet!

popsicles

Web IMG_2324sc1

Everybody loves popsicles right?!?! Not Mallory. Until this past weekend, she would not even touch them. But when her supercool cousins offered them, she changed her tune superfast.

Web IMG_2301nc1 Actual eating the orange juice popsicle. This is astonishing on several levels. The first: she's agreed to try eating and hold the popsicle. The second: she doesn't drink, won't even try juice of any kind. This is a lovingly made at home popsicle of frozen orange juice. She would take a bite and make a little face like, it's kinda sour. Then she'd look at one of her cousins, check how they were eating theirs, and go at it again. I love that she's learning new fun things from family.
