• Here you will find the chronicles of our family of four. More pictures than words, I am most at home capturing our life with a still camera. Photos help me recognize the beauty and awesomeness in both the phenomenal people I live life alongside and this breathtaking place we live, planet earth.

I am a child of God. I am the wife to a wonderful man, mother to two amazing little people. I am both daughter and sister. I am a runner. I love to travel and read.

I often title this season of our life's adventure, The Continuing Adventures of Mallory Girl and Mark Boy. The photography is mine (unless otherwise noted.) Questions are always welcome. Thanks for reading and adventuring alongside us.

Hip Hip Horray! Nonnie & Poppy came for a visit. We spent the weekend playing outside, learning new puzzles, reading books, and hanging out with my sister and Nathan and their dogs “As” (Asland) and “my” (Mayum).

Playing in the backyard: discovering her gardening gloves and helping Mama pull weeds. She loves picking the white flowers off the thyme and carrying around a 4 inch pot of dirt. My sweet little outside girl.

Discovery & Delight: 21 months old

Web IMG_2727sc1 swShe had serious fun the backyard tonight. We played outside in the shade of our home, in a beautiful greed "field" of clover, enclosed by a fence for hours tonight. Magnificent. The only thing better would have been her Daddy home to play too. But he'll be back soon.

Mallory @ 21 months: Growing and laughing and "no no no"ing. Using words, wanting her pacifer, watching her shows (Little Einstines & Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on the PVR and Dumbo & a James Taylor concert in the car.) Playing with her Mr(s) Potato Head and all her animals. Climbing up in her booster seat all by herself & on the baker's rack in the kitchen. Can do the stairs alone-but it makes me very nervous. Loving her tricycle & anything else outdoors. It's such fun to see her engaging life and learning. She's less interested in books these days, sad for this Mommy, but I hope that it will change again. She knows all the books by heart and doesn't have the patience to sit and learn new ones-she'd rather be up playing. Or following me around.

Thank you Father for our little girl. Thank you for sharing her with us for these sweet years of discovery and delight. I pray we model loving kindness and that she will have a heart for You.
