• Here you will find the chronicles of our family of four. More pictures than words, I am most at home capturing our life with a still camera. Photos help me recognize the beauty and awesomeness in both the phenomenal people I live life alongside and this breathtaking place we live, planet earth.

I am a child of God. I am the wife to a wonderful man, mother to two amazing little people. I am both daughter and sister. I am a runner. I love to travel and read.

I often title this season of our life's adventure, The Continuing Adventures of Mallory Girl and Mark Boy. The photography is mine (unless otherwise noted.) Questions are always welcome. Thanks for reading and adventuring alongside us.

Project Life 2012: week 10

The children have been carting this hymnal around singing for days. All Creatures of Our God and King is by far the current favorite. It’s my all time favorite wake up tune. Spring soccer has begun. I’m still not sure who was more excited. Mark insisted on having his own ball and spent the entire practice dribbling the ball.

My running continues. My lunch date. He LOVES juice boxes, seriously, it’s like Mark crack.

It’s always fun to open the front door for the UPS man. Mallory’s (and my favorites of her) favorite clothes are from Mini Boden, thank goodness for coupons. This also happened to be spring/summer shoe week, love BOGO.

Ben asked Mallory was my job was the other day, “Running!” This week my “long” run was 6 miles. I am thrilled to report it only took 63minutes!! For some reason, I feel like if this sticker is on my car, I need to be actively engaged in running, training to run or recovering from a race. Accomplishing this run in, for me, a scant amount of time, feels good. Really Good.

Mark is certain Mallory holds the keys to all knowledge and fun!!
I love the shoes – had to google “bogo!”

Bill Day - March 23, 2012 - 8:09 pm

I am totally impressed with your running. Keep it up, Amanda! Daddy

Jenn - March 26, 2012 - 8:13 am

Hahahahaha. Mark crack. That’s hilarious.

I’m so impressed by your running! We’ll have a 3-mile loop you can run here . . . if that will make you come any quicker. 🙂

Project Life 2012: week 9

With Ben home from Texas, life is getting back to normal, one load of laundry at a time.  These two precious little ones melt my heart, especially when they read to each other.

I’m still obsessed. It’s ridiculous. Even though I seem to have an addiction with workout wear, I still managed to find and acquire this fun cake stand. The blueberry muffins were great.

Mark boy sampling favors for a friend’s baby shower. The chocolate covered marshmallows (idea from pintrest) seemed to pass the kid friendly test. Dr. Seuss day at the library yielded several of his books we hadn’t read before and these festive tattoos.

Love the cake stand!!!

Project Life 2012: week 8

I ordered “mommy cards.” I got tired of trying to trade info while Mark demanded that I hand my phone over, and it was another place to use my favorite family picture. Also included on the card is my cell number. As soon as I saw them in person, I realized I should have included my email address as well. Let that be a lesson to you. Monday found us visiting the zoo for the first time this year. More details about that excursion here.

Mark and I after my Tuesday morning run, he chose to have lunch at the snack table. These fun orange roses have made me smile all week.

I’m completely obsessed with this company. I’m even thinking about a second half in August because of them. On Saturday Febuary 25th, Ben’s mom married Papa J. Since we’d made the trip to see her twice in 8 weeks, we elected that only Ben would attend. With him gone for the weekend, I tried to come up with some other fun things for us to do. The daffodil photo safari was born. Three cameras and three photographers went hunting for happy yellow flowers this afternoon. I was totally happy with the results and the children are already asking to do it again.

Love the cards, the smiles, the flowers and the photo safari!!

Pape - March 18, 2012 - 4:59 pm

All great photos! I like the flowers and the great daffodil shot! Just says, “SPRING!”

Gail Day - March 18, 2012 - 5:10 pm

What a fabulously creative outing! Love the pretty flowers! We saw bluebonnets just opening on our trip home from the farm 🙂

President’s Day & the Zoo

We spent the President’s Day holiday visiting the zoo. We haven’t been in quite some time and the day was full of sunshine and crying out for an outdoor adventure.

While we did run and see animals and play at the amazing playground, the highlights of the morning were the carousel and the *NEW* (to us anyway) train.

Dear Zoo, we will be back soon!! Thanks for the awesome outdoor adventure, we will try to bring Daddy Ben next time.

Project Life 2012: week 7

Nonnie’s here for a visit and Mallory is celebrating by being sick and home from school. We spent the morning putting together a Lego Friends Cafe.

We played hide and seek, and re-assembled the puppet show from Christmas Nonnie delivered. We had lots and LOTS of shows, cooking classes and dragon + princess adventures. Believe it or not, they were best friends

We celebrated Valentines Day in a big way this year, school parties and special breakfasts and bowling for hearts

Your efforts truly made Valentine’s Day a special one! So many cute hearts –
