• Here you will find the chronicles of our family of four. More pictures than words, I am most at home capturing our life with a still camera. Photos help me recognize the beauty and awesomeness in both the phenomenal people I live life alongside and this breathtaking place we live, planet earth.

I am a child of God. I am the wife to a wonderful man, mother to two amazing little people. I am both daughter and sister. I am a runner. I love to travel and read.

I often title this season of our life's adventure, The Continuing Adventures of Mallory Girl and Mark Boy. The photography is mine (unless otherwise noted.) Questions are always welcome. Thanks for reading and adventuring alongside us.

LEGO Friends

We discovered Lego Friends at Target earlier this month. Mallory was instantly intrigued. She talked about them all the way home that day and for several days after. The next time we headed to Target, we picked one to bring home. I “helped” choose the smallest box and told her that we could maybe a a larger box if she could put this one together and liked playing with it.  Needless to say it was a BIG HIT.

She put the whole thing together needing only a few tips on reading the picture directions.

She’s already asking for a bigger set! I think will may see a long love for these little blocks.

Project Life 2012: week 1

The past three years, I have taken photos almost every day. The old blog had a nifty calendar format that made keeping up with them easy. I’ve posted links to them in a drop down menu that you find by hovering over the Project Life button.  This year, in an effort to post more, I will be posting them a week at a time. Some weeks there will be 7 photos for the week, others, perhaps a few more or less. I am also hoping to get all these into an album this year. We’ll see.

1. Nonnie and the choo-choo. 2. A beautiful afternoon in the backyard, a snack of roasted peanuts from the company that bought organic peanuts from our farm, &  throwing the shells in the lake.

3. A reflection of swimming in the “winter lagoon.” 4. Mark discovers how to ride Mallory’s scooter.

5. The flight home. 6. LEGO trains

7. Christmas clean up was delayed until today, perhaps the longest it’s ever taken me to get it all put away. The children hung the elves side by side and taking them down today made me smile at how sweet my babies are with each other.

Scooter LOVE

Mallory received this scooter for Christmas. Mark got a “plasma car.” He’s been dying to try the scooter and the opportunity came while Mallory was on and errand with Ben. In 3.2 seconds, he had mastered the mechanics of forward and was having a blast!!

I wonder if we can wait until spring break for another of these AWESOME scooters.
