• Here you will find the chronicles of our family of four. More pictures than words, I am most at home capturing our life with a still camera. Photos help me recognize the beauty and awesomeness in both the phenomenal people I live life alongside and this breathtaking place we live, planet earth.

I am a child of God. I am the wife to a wonderful man, mother to two amazing little people. I am both daughter and sister. I am a runner. I love to travel and read.

I often title this season of our life's adventure, The Continuing Adventures of Mallory Girl and Mark Boy. The photography is mine (unless otherwise noted.) Questions are always welcome. Thanks for reading and adventuring alongside us.

In January we went to Southern California. We spent some time in San Diego and hung out with some friends in San Clemente. The beach was beautiful and seemed to call out for a Sunday afternoon stroll.

Journey thoughts

Warning my random ideas (not original to me surely) to follow:

I’m thinking this afternoon about how life is a Journey. That this life is all about the journey to and not the arrival of. Comparing epic to destination. Life is not a competition to see who finishes first or with the most stuff or having completed the most tasks. It’s about living–day in and day out. Choosing what to care about, intention, choosing conversations and people over things, deciding to have an attitude of Journey. Enjoying the process of living, of being, of loving. Anyway–some jumbled brain ramblings.

the dining room and back hallway were primed with a bubblegum colored primer

as you can see, several coats of the chosen red paint that pretends to be transparent have been required…..

I hope to apply the last of the coats tomorrow and put the room back together Saturday!!

Been there done that with the red paint. I hope you have better luck than we did. We ended up choosing another color. Have fun!!!

Our dining room took 6 coats of red paint after a coat of primer! Good luck and prayers for your sanity!! :o)

socks

When my sister’s dog Aslan comes to visit, he gets to wear socks! It might seem cruel or hilarious to some, but to the home owners with new wood floors, it seems reasonable!

Aslan is very cute! Really lovely!
