This past weekend we met in Las Vegas for the annual NAB/guru’s event. Ben found a vacation home for the week and all the MMS guys and several of the wives/children came too. It was terrific to finally meet Andy’s wife, the very sweet Shayna and their darling daughter Ainsley. John & Shannon brought their 4 month bundle of joy Joshua. We had a great time hanging out by the pool and playing badminton. I returned to Nashville Monday evening to head back to ITMM and left Ben in the company of approx 30 media minded pastors. They will be together until Thursday when everyone heads for home. A special treat this year was our friend Ethan who came to check it all out. This is the first year ever for me to take only like 20 photos. Very strange, but it was great to just sit back and enjoy the people and be.
Beginning last Thursday (almost 18 weeks) it occurred to me that the tiny muscle twitching I had been feeling for a while might not be random. That the tiny repetitive little spasms were actually kiddo bouncing around. It totally felt to me like minor muscle movement was the tentative questing of baby swimming around and exploring the cave. wow– I mean really WOW. It’s totally amazing!
The first time I felt Sweetpea “flutter” was on my birthday! Best birthday present ever! And I felt her everyday after that until she was born. Unfortunately with the busyness of the times I don’t remember the exact occassion that I felt Boo-boo move but I do remember that it was a few weeks earlier in that pregnancy than with Sweetpea. And he wasn’t as consistent at first, but after a few weeks I was feeling him everyday, too.
My parents were here for Easter. On Friday we enjoyed the gardens at Cheekwood and an art exhibit titled 100 Artists’ View of God. Saturday was spent gardening, I have a "kitchen garden" again–herbs for me and a "salsa" garden for Ben (tomatoes & peppers)
Jenn has a new puppy keeping her up at night–Mayiam is adorable, she is mostly husky and her name is Hebrew for "water."
