• Here you will find the chronicles of our family of four. More pictures than words, I am most at home capturing our life with a still camera. Photos help me recognize the beauty and awesomeness in both the phenomenal people I live life alongside and this breathtaking place we live, planet earth.

I am a child of God. I am the wife to a wonderful man, mother to two amazing little people. I am both daughter and sister. I am a runner. I love to travel and read.

I often title this season of our life's adventure, The Continuing Adventures of Mallory Girl and Mark Boy. The photography is mine (unless otherwise noted.) Questions are always welcome. Thanks for reading and adventuring alongside us.

4 months-baby update

we are 16 weeks today—Baby is growing and so is Mommy! I have officially begun wearing maternity clothes. Not sure how I feel about elastic panels but comfort is a huge factor. I go back to the doctor for a check up on Monday. At that point we will schedule the big 20 week ultrasound. The technician will check lots of stuff–size of bones, heart head etc. We keep getting the "Are you going to find out?" inquiries. Provided the child is cooperative, we want to know pink/blue!!! I even have a breakfast strategy-high sugar and caffeine pre appointment to encourage the little one to move. We will see if it works.

In other news, after two years at ITMM I took a sick day. Feeling under the weather, a cold like bug has kept my in the Kleenex and at home for the last three days.  I am hopeful that by tomorrow I will be much better. Each day has brought some improvement but since I can’t take my preferred over-the-counter-meds it seems to be taking longer to overcome.

That’s it from Nashville–hope you are having a better than good week!

Monday

There is this beautiful barn and silo we get to enjoy on my regular traffic pattern. All I have to do is see it and I seem to relax a bit. Exhale slowly and just be. Thought I’d share it here…

In other news–I think I have found a crib option. After recovering from severe sticker shock, I found one that meets all the current criteria including (no surprise) a moderate price tag, and Ben’s ability to operate the drop side. It’s white and seems to be gender neutral, it is manufactured by Jardine. If anyone has strong opinions or biases about cribs or knows about this company, feel free to share as we are just getting into this whole adventure!

Wish I had something to share about great ideas for baby things; however, we do not have children yet. Still so happy for you and can’t wait to hear more!

I guess you have seen our crib. I was a big fan of the cheaper crib and we almost got the one you have pictured. Ours was the step lower at $169 or something. My work bought ours for us so I can’t really remember. Babies R us is where we got ours. From the man perspective, it was great b/c there were no parts. It took me 10 minutes!!! Just my thoughts. That crib was our 2nd choice and I remember reading good reviews on Amazon about it.
