• Here you will find the chronicles of our family of four. More pictures than words, I am most at home capturing our life with a still camera. Photos help me recognize the beauty and awesomeness in both the phenomenal people I live life alongside and this breathtaking place we live, planet earth.

I am a child of God. I am the wife to a wonderful man, mother to two amazing little people. I am both daughter and sister. I am a runner. I love to travel and read.

I often title this season of our life's adventure, The Continuing Adventures of Mallory Girl and Mark Boy. The photography is mine (unless otherwise noted.) Questions are always welcome. Thanks for reading and adventuring alongside us.

a banner day

I decided it was time for a better fallish banner. I took this the other day at the park with Jenn and Nathan. It’s different anyway.

In other news, Mallory has begin spitting up, A LOT. Not a little here and there, like soak us to the skin in the middle of the night. It’s weird, this is the third night this week that it’s happened. I have zero clue why. It’s only at night and she is burped just like at every other feeding. Any words of wisdom out there?

That is weird. Maybe because she lays down right away? Does she usually stay promped up in one way or another after feedings during the day?

They say to keep them sitting up for at least 30 minutes after feeding them? Try it and see if that helps.
She might have reflux. ou can check with your doctor. Babies sure are full of fluids, aren’t they?

8 weeks & no new pictures

of Mallory today. Believe it or not, I don’t take pictures of her daily. Today she is 8 weeks old. It is truly incredible how life is changing to accommodate our baby girl. Schedules, meals, activities, conversations, to do lists, my prayer life, all are radically different. All the change, not normally my favorite thing, is OK. I believe that in 8 more weeks, it will have all changed again. But it’s all OK, good even, because we adore her and wouldn’t trade her for the world. Amazing since our Father did…trade His son for the world. I knew I would begin to feel things, see them in a new light after she was born, and I do. It’s hard to imagine, trading her for the world. Only God could do that. He truly loves us. I hope you feel loved today, we certainly do.

seven weeks

Mallory is 7 weeks old today–I’ve said it before, and it’s still true, everyday gets better! She is a sweet baby, last week she hung out on her play mat quite a bit. She is looking at the world and loving this mobile like contraption.
Yesterday was a big day, we went to church for the first time! It went great, Mallory was content to listen to the music and got hungry right on schedule. I really like the predictability of her hunger pattern!! After church we got to visit with Ben’s cousins and enjoyed Uncle Jeff’s yummy brisket.
