• Here you will find the chronicles of our family of four. More pictures than words, I am most at home capturing our life with a still camera. Photos help me recognize the beauty and awesomeness in both the phenomenal people I live life alongside and this breathtaking place we live, planet earth.

I am a child of God. I am the wife to a wonderful man, mother to two amazing little people. I am both daughter and sister. I am a runner. I love to travel and read.

I often title this season of our life's adventure, The Continuing Adventures of Mallory Girl and Mark Boy. The photography is mine (unless otherwise noted.) Questions are always welcome. Thanks for reading and adventuring alongside us.

She is so beautiful Amanda! What a perfect little girl…God is so good.
I hope that I can hold her sometime—and before she gets big!

Your pictures are awesome! Mallory is beautiful, I can really see you in her! I hope you are all doing well!

7.10

my new favorite numbers!!! We headed to the doctor’s for weigh in today–and little miss has gained 8, yes count them, eight ounces in a week! Bringing her total up to seven pound and TEN ounces. Hip Hip Hooray!! We have worked diligently on this goal all week. I am so relieved that we are finally headed back to birth weight. She had some previously undisclosed tummy troubles that are now, praise God, better. It’s made sleeping and eating both challenging. Here’s to great news to start off week 3 of Miss Mallory 🙂

I am so glad to hear this news. I pray that week three is full of blessings.

Praise!!! I’m glad she’s doing better. Tummy troubles are the worst–we had our share with Miss Baylor. Hope it continues to get better.

Hooray! I’m thankful for those 8 ounces! Praying for you all!

2 weeks old

We went to the doctor’s office on Monday to celebrate being two weeks old. Weight: 7 pounds 3 ounces, Length: 19 3/4 inches long. Both smaller numbers than at birth, although how they measure curled newborns is beyond me. This might be the only time in a girl’s life she wants to gain weight!

She is beautiful! I don’t know if you remember me or not, but we used to go to Otter. I got your blog off of someone else’s. Glad you are doing so well!

I cannot believe how much she looks like you. It is so cute.

Beautiful, beautiful! I see that you, too, have a “Mini Me!” :o)

Debi D - October 6, 2006 - 9:41 am

Hi…
You don’t know me, but I have read your blog off and on for months now.
I see you had your baby!! How exciting…she’s adorable! Congratulations to you and your husband.

malia - October 6, 2006 - 6:40 pm

Wow! She looks just like you!!

Bill/Daddy - October 7, 2006 - 11:53 am

I miss hearing her sounds and yes, even her crying. Can I get a recording?

Christy McInturff - October 7, 2006 - 1:55 pm

It was such a nice surprise to run into you guys at the mall. You looked great and you were handeling the crying like a champ. Now that I see this pic with her eyes open I too agree you have a “mini me” on your hands. Hang in there and these first few weeks of adjustment will be over before you know it.

angie - October 7, 2006 - 4:13 pm

Amanda, she is just precious. I hope you are enjoying every moment (even the crying ones). Loving the pictures. Keep them coming!

Debbie and Ken - October 12, 2006 - 4:26 pm

Congratulations, she is beautiful !

We miss you!!!

I’m wondering if it’s spelled Poppie. We should check with him–maybe he knows the spanish spelling.

Bill/Daddy - October 7, 2006 - 11:51 am

The actual spanish spelling is Pappi. I don’t really care how it is spelled, I’m just looking forward to Miss Mallory saying it aloud in my presence.
