• Here you will find the chronicles of our family of four. More pictures than words, I am most at home capturing our life with a still camera. Photos help me recognize the beauty and awesomeness in both the phenomenal people I live life alongside and this breathtaking place we live, planet earth.

I am a child of God. I am the wife to a wonderful man, mother to two amazing little people. I am both daughter and sister. I am a runner. I love to travel and read.

I often title this season of our life's adventure, The Continuing Adventures of Mallory Girl and Mark Boy. The photography is mine (unless otherwise noted.) Questions are always welcome. Thanks for reading and adventuring alongside us.

1 month old

It’s amazing to realize that Mallory is a month old. These few weeks have FLOWN by. I have never watched a clock so hard and not known what day it is!

I am astonished at how a little baby can be so tired and cranky at the end of a day of sleeping, looking around, and eating. The evenings are the toughest lately, 7-11pm. But once she is asleep…bliss for all! Praise God and a BIG thank you to all those praying for our good nights sleep–Last night she slept beautifully. Seriously, from 11 to 4:30!! Thank you Lord! I had no idea how 5 hours of sleep could change my life. Just a month ago, I would have needed a nap and an early bedtime to make it through the next day.

I hope your month has been as blessed as ours–here is the color version of the birth announcement photo–if you haven’t received yours, let me know 🙂

Oh my….she is SO precious!!! I’d love to get a birth announcement, if you didn’t send me one. Let me know if you need my new address. 🙂

For our fridge, please? (By the way, the fridge that isn’t even plugged in because we have no electricity – we just use it for storage.) No big deal if you don’t have time – you have a few other things on your mind!

Doily

My Daddy thinks this onesie makes me look like a doily & is not crazy about the ruffled collar…but he likes the striped socks!

Jenni - October 16, 2006 - 11:09 am

A doily? There’s no lace or crochet anywhere on that little onesie….I guess the ruffle might count.
Does Miss Mallory like to scratch herself with her little fingernails? I love how the socks on her hands coordinate with the outfit too!

Trisha - October 16, 2006 - 12:54 pm

I love the ruffles! And we have those striped socks too! Fun!

Mimi Deloris and Papa Bill Van Cleave were here for a visit this week. They drove all the way from west Texas to come hold Mallory. We appreciate your making the long drive and enjoyed having you here. Thank you for the low key week, the rest was much needed. We love you!
