• Here you will find the chronicles of our family of four. More pictures than words, I am most at home capturing our life with a still camera. Photos help me recognize the beauty and awesomeness in both the phenomenal people I live life alongside and this breathtaking place we live, planet earth.

I am a child of God. I am the wife to a wonderful man, mother to two amazing little people. I am both daughter and sister. I am a runner. I love to travel and read.

I often title this season of our life's adventure, The Continuing Adventures of Mallory Girl and Mark Boy. The photography is mine (unless otherwise noted.) Questions are always welcome. Thanks for reading and adventuring alongside us.

Sunday appointment

We are giving baby girl two more days to arrive on her own as her eviction is officially scheduled for Monday. My bp was up again today-surprise! But after monitoring the baby and her incubator (yes, that’s what Ben has named the baby growing organ) my doctor was assured that Baby Girl is doing fine, moving and such. After more blood work to confirm her decision and a quick phone call to the hospital, we have an appointment to be induced if necessary (Sunday evening) and to deliver Monday.

I plan to sleep as late as possible tomorrow and Sunday-I wonder how my dreams will be!?!?!

Amanda, how exciting! We can’t wait to hear the news. You’ll be in my prayers. Labor and delivery are wonderful, don’t listen to anyone tell their terrible stories. You’ll have your own labor story and it will be so special. We’re thinking of you.

You’re in my thoughts and prayers today (Monday). I hope all is well. You seem like you’ll be wonderful parents. This is one special baby. God bless you.

Beautiful Day

It is GEORGOIUS here today. Sunny and cooler–almost like fall might be
around the corner! I love living in a place where we have all four
seasons. Summer is fading and the crisp days of fall are approaching. I
just LOVE it!!!

These pictures were taken last fall at one of my favorite hotels-The
Belagio. They have the coolest conservatory that gets dressed up for
various seasons. The one of Ben and I was taken in a mirrored window by me. Next time I’ll work on the focus 🙂 No new baby news–Have a great day!

I love autumn, too! Love keeping up with you from Central America and I check your blogs SEVERAL times a day for up-to-the-minute baby girl news. I hope you have a designated blog poster to let us know when you leave for the hospital, etc.! We’ll be home next weekend, but I kind of hope she doesn’t wait that long to make an appearance. Love you much, pray for you daily.

Probably not Friday

Baby Girl likes me still-as in not moving around much (I’m sure the theologians among us will have lots to say about that!) At our doctor appointment today, we discovered how much she likes me still. This was indicated in no uncertain terms by a low bp and lots of fluid gone(six pounds worth people)!! For now, I will remain on "modified" bed rest and the induction is being postponed. Perhaps it will happen next Monday or Tuesday, it depends on how long the rest keeps my numbers down. For now, I will try to enjoy having my feet up all day long.

So maybe this means my apartment will get painted after all. [laughing] Chop chop, stroke stroke.

38 weeks and some news

We are 38 weeks pregnant–I am convinced that the greatest lie of pregnancy is that it is 9 months. Can anyone else count!??!?! 40 weeks = 10 months. Who really cares when you start counting, 36 weeks is NOT the normal finishing line. Diatribe over now!

38 weeks–weekly appointments and intense waiting, no packing however. That pretty much sums up last week for me, until we were sent to the hospital for some tests Friday afternoon.  The short version is all is well and we are scheduled to induce at 39 weeks (that’s Friday September 15th) for the long-and I do mean LONG version, check out the expecting blog.

That’s it–more news possibly tomorrow. For now, we are dreaming about next Friday, in the words of a dear friend, "the best day of our lives" has been scheduled.

So happy to hear that things are fine, and you are doing well. Friday is just right around the corner! I hope everything goes well for you this week as you rest and get ready for your little girl’s arrival. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. I’ll anxiously watch your blog for updates. God bless you.
