• Here you will find the chronicles of our family of four. More pictures than words, I am most at home capturing our life with a still camera. Photos help me recognize the beauty and awesomeness in both the phenomenal people I live life alongside and this breathtaking place we live, planet earth.

I am a child of God. I am the wife to a wonderful man, mother to two amazing little people. I am both daughter and sister. I am a runner. I love to travel and read.

I often title this season of our life's adventure, The Continuing Adventures of Mallory Girl and Mark Boy. The photography is mine (unless otherwise noted.) Questions are always welcome. Thanks for reading and adventuring alongside us.

Santa brought the most amazing "toy." to our house. We are just now getting it out to play as baby girl is building leg strength and wants to stand more. It has so many things to look at and reach towards, and buttons to push, and sounds to make, and butterflies to twirl when she jumps. Thanks Santa!

That looks like the BMW of saucers!! Mallory should have hours of fun with that and it should give Mommy a couple free minutes her and there too:)

Snow for Valentines Day

I woke up one morning to find…..

Does anyone else think it’s amazing that we have had snow more than twice already this month?!?! Growing up in Houston, February meant short sleeves, here, it’s snowsuit weather. Luckily Mallory has a cute one.

She and I both like outings and we are choosing to enjoy all four seasons, including our chilly winter. Thank you Lord for sunshine and snowsuits ๐Ÿ™‚

You are a brave woman…I hate being in the cold any longer than I have too. I did bundle the kids up one day last week and spent a little time in the park. Christian has been DYING to play at the park–he begs on a almost daily basis. Enjoy seeing pics of your sweet girl:)Have a good day

Laughing Out Loud–a Mallory post

This was taken in Houston–you may recall a previous post with a similar photo-But the past two days accomplishments deserve a great photo. Really video would be best…but Ben is holding out for some super-camera but I digress. Yesterday, Miss Mallory looked me straight in the eye and laughed out loud. It was Hi-larious!! I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes. She just kept laughing. She’d laugh and I’d laugh…repeat about twenty times. It was THE BEST!!

This morning she rolled over. She has done this in the past, but only one turn over in a day. Today, she rolled from front to back about a dozen times in a row-yes she had help getting back on her tummy. Rolling in both directions–repeat. I was amazed. She seems to take life in and them "bam" will pull a new trick out of the magic bag. TOTALLY COOL. I am so in love (yes with Ben too) with her. I am certain that I will need proof of these wonderful feelings in the future. So for now I am soaking it all up–you just roll away sweet girl. Thank you Lord for the wonderful blessings you pour on your children. Thank You Thank You Thank You

Little girl giggles are the best!!

Man giggles are the best, and rolling over is such a fun step. But I could agree more about the blessings God pours out upon his children.

Ethan Whaley - February 7, 2007 - 10:33 pm

I guess that was supposed to be couldn’t agree more. ๐Ÿ™‚

Amanda, I love reading about your precious Mallory, and being reminded of all the wonderful “firsts” that we often forget when we’re on the “second”. It’ so refreshing, and I hardly ever read your blog without tearing up…so sweet. She’s so beautiful and we’re so happy for you!
