• Here you will find the chronicles of our family of four. More pictures than words, I am most at home capturing our life with a still camera. Photos help me recognize the beauty and awesomeness in both the phenomenal people I live life alongside and this breathtaking place we live, planet earth.

    I am a child of God. I am the wife to a wonderful man, mother to two amazing little people. I am both daughter and sister. I am a runner. I love to travel and read.

    I often title this season of our life's adventure, The Continuing Adventures of Mallory Girl and Mark Boy. The photography is mine (unless otherwise noted.) Questions are always welcome. Thanks for reading and adventuring alongside us.

Our sweet boy continues to grow and learn. He is eating cereal most days, he began waking up in the middle of the night and apparently needed more to eat ๐Ÿ™‚ Mark and Ben had their first guys weekend this month while Mallory and I joined Nonnie and Aunt Jenn at Disney. He's enjoying our new swing in the backyard and continues to delight in watching big sister anytime she's within sight. He's also decided that a morning nap is a great idea, at least this week.

Agreed, the last picture is adorable!

Dragonflies

Oh the unbelievable cuteness. Seriously.

Mallory's dance recital was tonight. I really don't have many words–SO MUCH CUTENESS. She loved it. She loved the costume, the dance, her little friends, her teacher, and had so much fun participating and then watching the rest of the program.

Their teacher danced on stage with them and did a great job of being a part of the dance not just the teacher. She was "hunting" dragonflies, with her dragonfly net helping direct the girls.

The dancers are "hiding" when their teacher turns around looking for the dragonflies.

Precious!!

A little note to myself…..

Update this thing already! You don't have to go back and chronicle all the events and fun stuff you missed this month. It's all captured in the photo a day area anyway. Just start now and go forward. If you have hours of uninterrupted time later, you can always back date some posts. Seriously.

let them eat cake

Cake collage

My friend Lydia makes AMAZING cake confections. She made this 6 layer chocolate ganache cake and raspberry filled chocolate cupcakes for a baby shower. Seriously good. If you need a cake, you really REALLY need to call her!!

let the swimming begin

Swimming 002

We headed to Houston this year instead of accompanying Ben to NAB. He helped navigate the airports for Mark's first air travel then went on to Vegas after splashing with Mallory in the pool.

The first day of swimming with Daddy was all about the turtle kick board and remembering the water.

The second day of pool time found Mallory reveling in the freedom of a flower float and playing with the motorized puffins that swam.

Swimming 003

By the third day, I got a turn to play with her and she re-discovered jumping off the side into the water.

Swimming 001

I see a fun summer of swimming ahead of us!
