I'm feeling blessed to be home, be healthy, and be a child of GOD. I'm working on simplifing our life this year. Cleaning out a few closets-a January tradition for me is my first baby step. I also want to continue photo-a-day for a third year and am planning a new blog look. ๐
Mallory LOVES Mercer Mayer's Snow Day. We read it all year long. When the snow was still "playable" and NOT falling from the sky on Monday she was super excited to go out. First she wanted to make snow angels but then discovered how cold it is to lay in the snow wearing blue jeans. Next, she had a wonderful "snowball fight" with me. No snow was throw by me and therefore no problems ๐ My jacket was, however, covered in powder that refused to stick together. Her next self appointed task: to build a snowperson. (Yes, we are trying to be gender neutral here.) Unfortunately the snow didn't stick together (see snow ball experiece above.) So I suggested snow"ball" people. Thankfully she thougth it a good idea. We eventually made three.
Before I could take a really "great" picture the wind blew one of them over. She wanted to bulid snow houses next (for the snow people to live in) but decided it was too cold. So in we went to make peppermint hot chocolate and warm up before Mark woke from his thougthfully timed morning nap.
Sunday's snow delighted us. We had a marvelous time watching it fall and playing outside before the sunset.
Malliory has a love hate relationship with snow this year. She got some in her eyes and the cold really scared her. She loves to play in the snow, but apparently not WHILE it's falling from the sky.
Mark loves to be outside no matter the weather. Mallory finally lightened up after she went into the garage out of the falling snow.
Sweet boy taking it all in ๐
Mark’s “posing” in the leather chair is VERY reminiscent of Mallory! I cannot believe you caught him in focus!!!
