• Here you will find the chronicles of our family of four. More pictures than words, I am most at home capturing our life with a still camera. Photos help me recognize the beauty and awesomeness in both the phenomenal people I live life alongside and this breathtaking place we live, planet earth.

I am a child of God. I am the wife to a wonderful man, mother to two amazing little people. I am both daughter and sister. I am a runner. I love to travel and read.

I often title this season of our life's adventure, The Continuing Adventures of Mallory Girl and Mark Boy. The photography is mine (unless otherwise noted.) Questions are always welcome. Thanks for reading and adventuring alongside us.

Splash Pad Fun

Splash 001

What a difference a year makes. At the end of last summer, we joined friends at  Bicentennial Park. Mallory enjoyed the playtime but wasn't into the water really. Today we joined our new church friends at a local splash pad. Mallory had a BLAST. The initial warming up time was key. Also key were friends to play with, after all Mommy is so boring.

Such fun!!! We will be going back to practice with the "sprinklers" soon.

Where is this? I think mine might like it – the boy for sure and A would warm up I bet.

7 months old

It's hard to believe that it's time for a 7 month picture set. Really hard.

Mark continues to be adorable, shocker I know. He is getting really close to sitting up, now he just falls forward occasionally and can sometimes pull himself back to upright again. Still loves Mallory the best and wants to watch whatever show has captured her. He is suddenly only needing 4 bottles and taking (mostly) two naps a day. Bedtime is 6 ish with two naps and 7:15 about with three.

He's currently fascinated with spoons but only wants rice cereal to actually eat. He won't willing eat any fruits or vegetables. I am hopeful that will change soon. He's growing (also shocking) both longer and heavier. I have stopped bringing his car seat into the house, it's just too dang heavy with him in it. I intentionally park near the cart return at the grocery/Target and immediately put him in the stroller if no carts are available.  Also he's beginning to move around. Rolling + scooting means I have to watch him pretty closely and all the space in his crib is used every night.

He likes splashing at the pool and in the bath. Still LOVES his Sassy circle rattle. I've introduced a few new toys-Wiggle worm, stacking rings and a few trucks which he seems to find interesting.

We are all still delighting in our new family of four. It's fun that no one is out numbered-boys, girls, parents or kids. And hanging out together rocks!!

Both my children decided today they like avocados. Mark likes his straight out of the peel. Mallory prefers hers as guacamole. A very yummy day indeed.
