The annual pilgrimage or family reunion if you prefer. Arrival, a day at the Magic Kingdom, and a day at Hollywood Studios.
My friend Abbey and I ran the second Nashville Color Run. It was great fun!! Kinda like pledge week with lots of people we’d never see again. My most favorite part was finding my family at the finish line and Mallory wanting to get “colored” too. So we did! I can’t wait to take her to the color run in the fall and have her run it with me!!
The circus came to town and I am thrilled to report the kids loved it. No life long terror of clowns indicated (unlike my first experience.) Mallory just loves me taking pictures of her when she’d rather be doing ANYTHING else. Mark loves driving “the space ship” as he’s named Ben’s vehicle and has become a proficient puzzle worker. Mostly we stayed inside trying to keep warm.
You always find fun lurking even in January!
At the ripe old age of 6 my baby girl lost her first tooth. It was SUPER loose and neither she nor I wanted to pull it out. After lots of meals spent eating with only her back teeth…….it finally fell out at school. The tooth fairy has apparently gotten a raise in the past 25 years, and exchanged Mallory’s tooth for a two dollar bill. Delighted might approach describing her lever of joy at this milestone! I remember how hard we worked to get those teeth to finally poke through her gums when she was 9 months old.
She’s glowing like it’s Christmas!!
John Mark turned 3 in mid December. We celebrated with a pirate party in late January. He talked about it constantly before hand. In fact, he was convinced that he didn’t turn 3 until we arrived at the bounce house. I’m so glad he’s “officially” three. According to our pediatrician, he’s the size of the average 4 year old and Mallory is enjoying being taller than her younger brother while she can. He is obsessed with pirates and Jeeps. We are forced to call out “ahoy” anytime we see a Jeep on the road. Mark LOVES shows, Backyardigans and Jake and the Neverland Pirates rank high on the list of entertainments. He is quite an accomplished puzzles worker and wants to read books constantly. Our sweet little guy doesn’t seem to need as much sleep as his sister-one of my life’s griefs! And is sleeping in a big boy bed with a “light up clock” of his very own. He insists he will be an excavator driver when he grows up and is looking for an acceptable dump truck driver if anyone wants a job!
Happy third birthday little guy!! We adore you!
What a fabulous party!! And what a difference a few months make – he certainly didn’t want to participate in oversize inflatables last summer!!
As always, GREAT FUN!!! And the grandchildren enjoyed it, too!!!
Wow that looks like great fun!! I wanna go again!!!
