We officially gave up preschool yesterday. It just wasn't working out. Just when you were getting accustomed to your class and teachers and the schedule there, we had a 10 day trip. Your daddy and I feel like it's more important for you to spend time with us than be in preschool. So we went to California; and you never really got back into the preschool groove. And that's ok. Our schedule is crazy. I don't see that changing tomorrow. I am so thankful that your daddy gets to do what he does. I am increadably thankful we are able to go with him much of the time. Right now, that just means no preschool. And that's ok.
We get to hang out with Megan today while she is waiting for baby sister to be born. Julie, we are thinking about you and praying for a safe delivery!
I took these pictures several days ago while we played with Megan during one of the last doctor's visits. The girls are having as much fun today as they did several weeks ago.
O goodness…I thought this was your way of telling me you were preggers again!! I wondered what had changed in a couple short weeks! :o)
There is a saying in our family (or maybe all of east Texas) about the cobbler's children not having any shoes. While I am thrilled that my sweet girl has shoes, and plenty of pictures of her have been taken, I tend to record the everyday, food on her face, running in the yard, playing and reading at home, and our travels rather than dressing you a certain way and specifically "taking your picture."
For instance your one year old pictures were taken in October while we were in Texas. Over a month late and only sort of on purpose in the front yard. This year, I took your two year old pics while we were in Huntington Beach. Again, a bit late (in November) and not at home. I hope you will find it in your adult heart to forgive my slacker ways.
We had a good time! And as a bonus, you decided you love the beach. You asked for more waves & splashes long after you turned into a shivvering blue popsicle.
Gorgeous! That first one is absolutely stunning.
amanda- i wanted to give you a big hug yesterday, but didn’t want to interrupt your time with Beth and Julie. i hurt for you friend, having to make that decision. hopefully we will see sweet M again at preschool, especially when she is a pre-k girl and ready for my class! ๐
Oh man. It didn’t work out. ๐ Well, it sounds like you are comfortable with your decision. I think Mallory is blessed to be a student of the world. How many of her preschool classmates have been able to see/do the things she has seen/done? She is learning…she’s just not learning in school.
You’re a good mommy.
Trust me, this time passes all too quickly. You won’t regret your decision!! Love you, friend!

Good for you…it’s always better to see what works for YOUR family. You guys are so blessed to travel together and you should always do it when you can
