• Here you will find the chronicles of our family of four. More pictures than words, I am most at home capturing our life with a still camera. Photos help me recognize the beauty and awesomeness in both the phenomenal people I live life alongside and this breathtaking place we live, planet earth.

I am a child of God. I am the wife to a wonderful man, mother to two amazing little people. I am both daughter and sister. I am a runner. I love to travel and read.

I often title this season of our life's adventure, The Continuing Adventures of Mallory Girl and Mark Boy. The photography is mine (unless otherwise noted.) Questions are always welcome. Thanks for reading and adventuring alongside us.

playroom

In addition to "your" tree, the playroom bookcases received some holiday spirit: more garland!

I found the cool sparkle words right beside the shatter-proof ornaments & I think they look great! I am also pleased with the poinsettias. I can keep outside plants happy, but the ones indoors are too much for me, so yes, they are silk. I am grateful for this as they will still be just a beautiful next year.

dreaming of a white Christmas

It snowed here last night. Several inches worth of snow. It's very picturesque and yet we are so thankful that it won't last until spring.

When Daddy got home you two went out to investigate. Daddy deliberately didn't wear a coat so that he would "know" when you got cold. He was ready to come in LONG before you were ๐Ÿ™‚

How picturesque! Your house looks so beautiful in the snow. Seriously, Ben is one of the most thoughtful dad ever…that’s awesome that he didn’t wear a jacket. Enjoy your snow–we Californians are jealous of you!

OMG! Even the outside of your house is Martha Stewart. How beautiful!!!

dance class

Web IMG_1250sc1

My sweet little girl. You LOVE dance class. You talk about it all week and practice "skills" whenever and where ever you happen to be when it occurs to you.

Web IMG_1259sc1

Your class does a "fairy dance" every week. Basically you hold hands and "slide" in a circle:
Let's all me a circle, you and you and me,
let's pretend we're fairies in the woods you see.
    Slide, slide, slide, slide
    keep it nice and slow.
    Bring your hands together,
    right back out we go
    (other way)
    Slide, slide, slide, slide
    this is how it's done
    jump back and say hooray.

this is the "apple tree adagio"
you practice growing, swaying and blowing in the breeze. Next there is a big sneeze and all the apples fall off the tree. You love mimicking this sneezing.

These are just precious! She will love all of your notes to her in the future. What a wonderful keepsake.

What fantastic photos!!!! I MUST have the one with her saying, “maow, maow’s turn!”
Is there any doubt about her “chief” status???
She is having a ball ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh I love love love these pics. This is what I dreamt of for my kids. Instead, Haley made jokes and ran around with a monkey on her head. Dancing is not her thing! :o)
Mallory looks so beautiful.

This was my book, mine and Jenn's, from childhood. It is amazing to watch you love the same books and stories I did as a little girl. Nonnie & Poppy brought this from TX at Thanksgiving and read it to you first. Since then we have read it many MANY times. You love this page in particular, you think it looks like our house. "Our House Mommy, our house," you say again and again.
