• Here you will find the chronicles of our family of four. More pictures than words, I am most at home capturing our life with a still camera. Photos help me recognize the beauty and awesomeness in both the phenomenal people I live life alongside and this breathtaking place we live, planet earth.

I am a child of God. I am the wife to a wonderful man, mother to two amazing little people. I am both daughter and sister. I am a runner. I love to travel and read.

I often title this season of our life's adventure, The Continuing Adventures of Mallory Girl and Mark Boy. The photography is mine (unless otherwise noted.) Questions are always welcome. Thanks for reading and adventuring alongside us.

Crawling

My baby is crawling! It’s the "commando" crawl, planting the toes in the carpet and pulling herself along with hands and elbows. Seriously cute. If I can get it captured with my camera…you will see pictures! I set her down yesterday and turned by back. When I looked again she had moved 4 feet to my feet and was grinning like she’d finally figured it out! Sweet sweet baby.

Way to go Mallory!! Mr. Jeff and I enjoyed spending time with you on Sunday:)

Alice in Wonderland

This is the coolest party I’ve ever seen. My head is still spinning and I just saw the pictures. I can only imagine what it was like to be there!

You must go see…and then tell me what you think!

Oh, Mylanta! Please, dear friends, let’s not start this with our kids… I don’t think we’d ever be able to afford it!

Change

My family will be the first to tell you that I am resistant to change. When it came time for my bedroom walls to be painted {keep in mind I was away at college at this point} I asked that my parents leave the border and paint the walls below it. Because, what if I missed the floral border that we put up 10 years prior. This past January, My grandmother offered to redo the stocking I have used at her house since I was little, and I immediately said, "No." I didn’t think about it, didn’t consider the implications for other grandchildren who might want a fresher version, just said, "no thank you, I like this one."

As I was surfing the sites I frequent, I found this quote today.

"All change is not growth, as all movement is not forward."  (e. glasgow)

It just makes me think…some change is good. But it’s OK not to want or need change just for change’s sake.

You are preaching to the choir over here! I, too, like the comfort of all things familiar. I’ll be sure to use that quote the next time Scott gets a wild hair to do something crazy (like build another house)!
