• Here you will find the chronicles of our family of four. More pictures than words, I am most at home capturing our life with a still camera. Photos help me recognize the beauty and awesomeness in both the phenomenal people I live life alongside and this breathtaking place we live, planet earth.

I am a child of God. I am the wife to a wonderful man, mother to two amazing little people. I am both daughter and sister. I am a runner. I love to travel and read.

I often title this season of our life's adventure, The Continuing Adventures of Mallory Girl and Mark Boy. The photography is mine (unless otherwise noted.) Questions are always welcome. Thanks for reading and adventuring alongside us.

She is feeling much better this morning! Thank you for all the sweet words, dinner offers, dinners and prayers offered on our behalf. We just might make it! She is sleeping now.  I am hopeful that this afternoon will be spent playing or at least bugging me; rather than yesterdays head on my shoulder, no movement, no talking "I feel terrible" posture.

In other news, I am decorating for Valentines. A first for me. Usually we corporately "ba humbug" the whole pseudo holiday and wait impatiently for spring. This year I’ve decided to take every advantage of things to celebrate (I’m still sorry I missed your birthday Julie) and am trying to figure out how to hang decorations without scarring the house too badly. This morning I got the sweet hearts put on the walls, mirrors, chalkboard, cabinets, refrigerator. I love the way they look. And yes, we got some reading done too!

The photos are a welcomed return! We are thankful that health is returning.

alive….

yes we are alive. Sadly we are sick. All of us have been and/or are sick. Stomach bugs and the flu.

I cannot adequately describe or discuss the misery of sickness. Certainly not without sounds effects and smells and audio tracts.

Please Lord grant us health, and strength to bear with one another. Thank you for a husband who takes such great care of me and our daughter.

-that the sun is out longer today than yesterday, and that tomorrow will be longer still
-lunch with a sweet friend
-that Ben puts up with my January grouchiness
-that January is almost over
-2 day shipping from Amazon
-a new tea kettle for making hot chocolate

I feel your January pain!

5K

Mallory’s first 5K via stroller at the Nashville Zoo Run Run. No, it’s not a typo, they actually named it the "Zoo Run Run" She was entertained by all the goings on and loved being outside. By the 3K marker, she needed a steady ration of goldfish and was ready to walk around by herself when we finished. Thanks to Jenn and Nathan for the encouragement to get out in the cold January. Fun times had by all!

I love that she will still hold our hands occasionally.
