The month of May was like a whirlwind. I kept thinking it would never arrive, that it would be cold FOREVER and suddenly, it's June and there is sand between my toes. Without further discussion, here is a brief recap of May. Let's start at the tail end of April, I ran the country music half marathon. I decided I wanted to do it in January, and with the help of my running buddies and www.rookiemarathon.com I finished feeling strong in 2:51. It's true I have more in common with the turtle than the hare, but we finished!! And I can't wait to do it again.
The week of Mother's Day is when my family likes to go to Disney. It's cool, the crowds are thin and we've decided it might be our favorite week of the year to visit Mickey and friends. It was Mark's first trip and deserves it's own post, so here is a preview…..
We arrived home to the last week of school and all the end of year festivities like dance recitals. There's a bit more detail here. Mallory was a lion this year, "ROAR."
Mallory practiced graduating from pre-school. We are keeping her home next fall and I'm really thankful.
And our month ended with a visit from Ben's mother. She came for Memorial Day weekend and we spent time in our backyard, at the zoo, and roaming around the Nashville area.
your kids are so adorable (LOVE the strawberry blonde hair!) and way to go on your half marathon….that is amazing!
