My cousin Carolyn and her husband Cameron and daughter Grace are visiting. Last night at dinner Cameron was able to straighten me out on the whole "removed" genealogy thing. Apparently, Carolyn (who is several years younger than me) is my mother’s first cousin. Carolyn is my first cousin once removed. Grace and I are second cousins(we are the children of first cousins). If Ben and I had a child s/he would be a second cousin once removed to Grace. Cool 🙂
