I have a confession to make. There are days I like the laundry. It soothes my ruffled soul. Something about the whole process, gathering up all the dirty stuff, sorting, adding yummy smelling detergent to the washing machine, piles of fresh smelling folded clothes and towels ready to be put into the linen closet. Folding the warm-from-the-dryer laundry isn’t my favorite. And ironing doesn’t even bear discussion. But laundry—humm. It’s just so proactive. Homey. I can see what has been accomplished. I found this book at Barnes and Noble today. It’s a great title and the color and design of the jacket make me think of late mornings when the laundry is finished and the whole day is yet to be discovered. But, never fear–I left it at the store.
I love doing the laundry too…just not the
folding part! LOL! :o)
Well ya lost me on this one because I detest laundry. Laundry and bathroom cleaning. My two most detested chores. I do them anyway though of course!
I have the book by the same author called Home Comforts. It’s excellent.
I love the SMELL of warm laundry right out of the dryer…other than that, I think the whole process bites, lol. Perhaps the fact that my husband and two boys generate the equivalent of a small army’s worth of dirty smelly laundry…I *do* like the cover of that book though 😀
